Obituary of Mary Lou Skerencak

Naples - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Louise (DeLorme) Skerencak. 

 

Mary Lou was born May 30, 1934 in Rochester the daughter of Lewis and Jeanette DeLorme.  She grew up in Rochester and has resided in many different areas throughout her life.  Those areas included Watertown, California, Greece, NY and for over the past 60 years, Naples.  Mary Lou enjoyed different crafts, going out to dinner, painting and re-decorating their house often and taking care of her many cats that she loved.  However, mostly Mary Lou had a zest for life and a passion for bingo. She traveled near and far for a Bingo game and she will be leaving behind many friends and many “assigned bingo seats”. Mary Lou was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that will be dearly missed by all her family. 

 

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Eddie Skerencak of Naples; her daughter Deborah Ann Raymond of Canada; her grandchildren, Mark (Diane) Raymond, Todd (Terrina) Raymond, Scott (Cynthia) Raymond, Rene (Tyler) Simpson, Nichole (Bren) Raymond, Travis (Cassandra) Adams, Johnny Adams, Elysia Viets, Klaytin Adams and Joshua Adams; her great-grandchildren, Aryanna, Ayvra, Addison, Lawson, Rory, Ryleigh, Hailey, Cooper, Kaden and Guage.  Mary Lou was pre-deceased by her parents; first husband, John Adams of CA; her son John Adams; and her sisters, Jeannie Arenas and Jackie McDonald. 

 

Mary Lou’s family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Thursday at 2pm at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland.  Committal prayers and interment will take place immediately following at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wayland.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Rd., Hornell, NY 14843.
