Obituary of Barry James Craig

Arkport/Wayland – Barry J. Craig, 67 years of age passed away Saturday February 8, 2025 at Arnot Ogden Hospital in Elmira, NY. Barry was born March 3, 1957 in Wayland the son of Linwood and Carol (Allen) Craig. Barry grew up in Wayland and was a 1975 graduate of Wayland Central School. He worked at The Gunlocke Company in the desk plant for over 25 years. After that Barry did various odd jobs wherever he resided, whether it was in Wayland, Arkport or Bath Barry was an avid New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan. He enjoyed remote control cars, Nintendo games and loved all kinds of dogs. Many remember Barry driving around and visiting people. Barry was pre-deceased by his parents Linwood and Carol Craig. He is survived by his siblings, Tim Craig of Wayland, Don (Becky) Craig of VA, Doug (Jody) Craig of AL, Lacey (Jeff) Sabins of Wayland, Carter Craig (Stephanie) of Painted Post, and Amy (Mike) Flaitz of Farmington; along with several nieces and nephews. Barry’s interment will take place at the Wayland Village Cemetery at the convenience of his family.
