Obituary of Vicki R. Hunt

Wayland – Loon Lake – Vicki R. Hunt, 73 years of age, passed away early Saturday evening, February 22, 2025 at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. Vicki was born May 30, 1951 in Wayland the daughter of Harry and Janet (Folts) Zigenfus. She grew up in Wayland and has resided in Atlanta, N. Cohocton, Canisteo and Loon Lake since 1989. Vicki worked at Moore-Cottrell and The Stationary Center early in her life and then at Steuben Trust Bank in Hornell and Arkport for over 20 years. In 2003 Vicki and Walt Drum Sr. began a loving relationship that has remained to this day. Vicki loved going to the casino; spending time on cruises and especially a trip to Graceland, the home of her beloved “Elvis!” Vicki especially enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Vicki was pre-deceased by her parents, Harry and Janet Zigenfus. She is survived by her companion Walt Drum Sr. of Loon Lake; her daughter, Heather (Geoffrey) Hoyt of VA and her son Chad (Melanie) Hunt of Rushville; her grandchildren, Colby and Tanner; her siblings, Gene (Donna) Zigenfus of Groton, NY, David Zigenfus of Rochester and William “Jack” (Karen) Zigenfus of Atlanta; along with several nieces and nephews. Vicki’s family and friends may call Wednesday February 26, 2025 from 4-7pm at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland Her funeral service will be on Thursday February 27, 2025 at 11am at the funeral home. Committal prayers and interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery, Loon Lake. Contributions in memory of Vicki R.
