Montour Falls – Joanna L. Cotton, 56 years of age, passed away early Thursday morning, May 29, 2025 at Schuyler County Hospital in Montour Falls.

Joanna was born June 24, 1968 in Elmira the daughter of Frederick K. and Alma J. (Dick) Nichols. Throughout the years she has resided in Watkins Glen, Elmira, Corning, Avoca and most recently Montour Falls. Joanna worked at Polly-O-Dairy in Campbell for over 20 years and then at Demets Candy Company in Big Flats for a short period of time.

Joanna enjoyed playing cards, especially Rummy, (although the rules were bent a bit when she played), painting ceramics, playing Candy Crush and listening to rock-n-roll (Kid Rock-Bon Jovi-Def Leppard.)

Joanna was pre-deceased by her parents, Frederick and Alma Nichols; her brother, Scott Clancy; and a son, Michael Mosher. She is survived by her children, Billie Jo Mosher of Elmira, Brett (Brandie) Mosher of IL, Steven Barrett of AL and John Mosher of AL; her grandchildren, Caleb, Holdun, Nevaen, TJ, Felicity, Serenity, Victoria and Nathaniel; her siblings, Ed Clancy (Tracie Butler) of Avoca, Marlida (Jerry) Buckley of Corning, Frederick Nichols of Groveland and Erin Nichols of TX; along with many nieces and nephews.

Joanna’s Celebration of Life will be Sunday June 22, 2025 at 12pm at the Hornby Fire Hall, 4838 Hornby Rd, Beaver Dams, NY. Contributions in memory of Joanna L. Cotton may be made to the American Cancer Society
