Obituary of Randy Scott Azzi
Cohocton – Randy S. Azzi, 60 years of age, passed away Thursday evening, August 7, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Randy was born March 5, 1965 in Dansville the son of Robert J. Azzi and Bonnie Fleishman. He grew up in Cohocton, graduated high school from there and remained a Cohocton resident his entire life. Randy worked at Foster Wheeler for a few years and for the past 25 years he has worked at the fertilizer plant in Cohocton and Dansville, now owned by Nutrien Ag Solutions. Randy and Connie Stephens wed on September 24, 2005 in Avoca and have celebrated over 19 years of marriage.
Randy loved spending time with Connie and all their family and he especially loved his dogs. He enjoyed rides on their side by side, being a member of the Cohocton American Legion, and he was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Snowmobiling, hunting and spending time outdoors were also past favorites of his.
Randy was pre-deceased by his mother in law, Phyllis Jesse Stephens; his brothers in law, Russell Hart, William C. Stephens and Mark Stephens. He is survived by his wife, Connie Azzi of Cohocton; his son Chad Van Skiver of Cohocton; his father, Robert (Nancy) Azzi of FL; his mother Bonnie (Karl) Margerson of Avoca; his siblings, Allan Azzi, Dominick Azzi and Kimberly (Brian) Hallings; Connie’s brothers and sisters, Mary Hart, Lisa Stephens, Susan (Joe) Rawleigh, Cathy (Keith) Bowen, Robin (Ron) Heller, Karen Stephens, Amy (Chad) Chadwick, Jerry Stephens (Linda Smith) and Gary Stephens; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends and especially his furry friends, “Suzie, Shiloh and Molly.”
Randy’s family and friends are invited to call Sunday August 10, 2025 from 1-4pm at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland. Private interment will take place at St. Pius Cemetery in Cohocton.
