Obituary of Michael Garey

Wayland – Michael Garey, 59 years of age, passed away Monday September 15th, 2025 at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. Michael was born February 25, 1966 in Rochester the son of J. Richared Garey and Margaret Siudara. Throughout the years, Michael has resided in Rochester, Nunda, Mt. Morris, Dansville and for the past several years Wayland. Michael was quite a character. He was very interested in what was going on in his environment; he enjoyed sitting and watching people; he loved coffee; and he especially enjoyed wrapping string around his wooden dowel. Michael is survived by his mother, Margaret Siudara; his uncle, Peter Siudara; and all his friends and caregivers throughout the DDSO and IRA communities. Michael’s family, friends and caregivers are invited to his memorial service on Friday September 26, 2025 at 1pm at Dogwood Day Treatment, 311 Main St., Dansville, NY. Private interment will take place at Brick Church Cemetery in Sodus Center.
