Obituary of Bonnie Rae MacDougal
Wayland – Cohocton – Bonnie Rae MacDougal, 55 years of age, passed away Saturday January 31, 2026 at Maple City Rehabilitation and Helathcare Facility in Hornell.
Bonnie was born in Dansville September 2, 1970 the daughter of Richard and Alberta (Neu) MacDougal. She grew up in and has remained a life resident of the Wayland and Cohocton areas until her recent move to Hornell. Bonnie was a high school graduate and began a career at Tops Grocery Store. For over 14 years she worked at both the Bath and Dansville stores.
Bonnie loved crafting of all kinds! Her and her mother Alberta would set up at local fairs and festivals and sell their crafts. She also enjoyed shopping, baking (especially cookies) and Bonnie had the ability to make friends with just about anyone.
Bonnie was pre-deceased by her father, Richard MacDougal and two brothers, David and Tim MacDougal. She is survived by her mother, Alberta MacDougal of Wayland; her brother, Joseph (Nancy) MacDougal of SC; her nephews, Tim, Adam and Zach; her niece Alicia and her great niece Courtney.
Bonnie will be laid to rest at Mapleview Cemetery with a graveside service later this spring. Details will be provided once they have been finalized.
