Obituary of Heather Hoffman Cromie

Syracuse - Perkinsville - Heather Hoffman Cromie, 43 years of age passed away Sunday February 1, 2026 at Upstate Medical in Syracuse after a brief illness. Heather was born October 11, 1982 the daughter of Christopher and Suzanne (Bricks) Hoffman. Heather grew up in Perkinsville and was a 2000 graduate of Wayland-Cohocton Centeral School. She then earned her associates degree from Herkimer County Community College and then her bachelor's degree from SUNY Oswego. After living in the Perkinsville area, Heather moved to Syracuse and has remained there for many years. Heather and Ryan Cromie were married October 1st, 2011 in Livonia and they have two boys, Owen and Noah. Heather was known for her infectious laughter and generous spirit. She loved sports, especially playing softball during her college years and was a Buffalo Bills fan, just like her Dad! She loved her family deeply, and spending time with Owen and Noah were her greatest joy. They are her lasting legacy. Heather also had a strong love of animals, particularly her ferret, Cherry. She leaves behind cherished memories and lifelong friendships. She is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Heather is survived by her husband of 14 years, Ryan Cromie of Syracuse; her children Owen and Noah; her parents, Christopher and Suzanne Hoffman of Perkinsville; her brother and his wife, Casey and Kiersten Hoffman of Bath and her sister and her husband, Brianna and Chris Gray of Plainfield, CT; her nieces and nephews, Blake, Caleb, Haylee, Jaylie, Brooklyn, Liam, Connor, Stella, Kylie and Arlin. Heather's funeral service will be private and for her immediate family.
