Obituary of Kristine A. Gilman

Cohocton – Kristine A. Gilman, 51 years of age, passed away late Sunday evening, May 3rd, 2026 at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital from a chronic illness and surrounded by loved ones. Kristi was born June 11, 1974 in Dansville the daughter of Michael and Deborah (Miller) Gilman. She grew up in Cohocton and graduated from Cohocton Central School in 1992. Kristi then gained her nursing degree through the BOCES LPN Program. She most recently was employed by New York State as a nurse with DDSO at the Wayland Residences. Kristi also was a private care giver for local families. Kristi loved music and always had it playing, especially classic rock. She enjoyed her dog and cats and later in her life she began to enjoy fishing. However her grandchildren were her favorite hobby! Kristi was pre-deceased by her grandparents, James and Helen Gilman and Henry and Doris Miller. She is survived by her partner, Kevin Pragle of Wayland; her children, Andrea Gilman of Wayland and Alexander John Miller of FL; her step children, Katlin Chapin of Wolcott and Samantha Miller (Steve Eiselstein) of Iowa; her grandchildren, Avery, Titan, Asher, Chase, Jason and Bentley; her parents, Michael and Deborah Gilman of Cohocton; her siblings, Amanda Gilman (Paul Currier) of Cohocton and Michael (Jennifer) Gilman of Cohocton; several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins; her dear friends, Michelle and Tammy: and many other life-long friends. Kristi’s family and friends may call Friday May 8, 2026 from 4-7pm at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7pm at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Kristi A.
