Obituary of Ann Louise Oxx
Wayland – Ann L. Oxx, 82 years of age, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 5, 2026 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
Ann was born May 30, 1943 in Wayland the daughter of Howard and Margaret (Bricks) Hunt. She attended Wayland Central School and remained a life resident of Wayland. Ann worked at Wayland Central and Wayland Cohocton School districts for over 40 years. She was a bus driver and simultaneously worked in the cafeteria.
Ann and Robert Oxx were married April 20, 1963 at Sacred Heart Church in Perkinsville and have celebrated over 63 years together. Her hobbies were many. She enjoyed her flower gardens, baby sitting for her grand and great grandchildren, collecting Old World Santa Clauses, decorating at holiday time and camping. Ann and her sister Bonnie catered many local events for over 20 years with the help of many family members. In her earlier years she also enjoyed bowling. Ann was an active volunteer at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ. She was the president of the church association as well as the head of the woman’s fellowship.
Ann was pre-deceased by her parents, Howard and Margaret Hunt; her brother, Wayne Hunt; infant siblings, Norbert and Dawn; her brothers in law, Jack Conrad, Ed Charnock Don Zeh and Ted Sears. She is survived by her husband, Robert Oxx of Wayland; her children, Robin Oxx of Wayland, Robert II (Karen) Oxx of Jacksonville, FL and Dawn (Zeb) Gascon of Springwater; her grandchildren, Emily, Robert III, Ellie, Brandie, Alyx, Nicole, Zachary, Shawn, Michael and Kimberleeann; her great grandchildren, Wesley, Ariella, Oakland, Blake, A’kemi, Kira, Nolan and Tristen ; her siblings, Bonnie (Robert) Hughes of Wayland, Jeanette Conrad of Perkinsville, Kathy Sears of Sodus, Onlee Zeh of Dansville, Les (Jeane) Hunt of Wayland and Robert (Susan) Hunt of Atlanta; her special cousin that is like a sister to her, Melissa Long of Dansville; her sister in law, Pat Hunt of Atlanta; along with several nieces and nephews.
Ann’s family and friends may call Monday May 11, 2026 from 1-3pm at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 1969 County Road 90, Perkinsville. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 3pm at the church.
