Obituary of Helen L. Milton
Wayland – Helen L. Milton, 92 years of age, passed away Wednesday May 27, 2026 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
Helen was born on March 19, 1934 in Wayland the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Kuhn) Conrad. She grew up in Perkinsville and has remained a life resident of the same neighborhood! Helen worked for couple different companies throughout her life including the Potato Factory in Perkinsville, The Castle in Dansville, and for over 27 years as a bus driver for Wayland Central School, retiring in 1996. After retiring Helen enjoyed taking care of elderly folks in the area.
Helen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, relishing in the fact she had the whitest and cleanest laundry – she was in charge! She was the greatest cook in the world, making everything she could from scratch. Helen loved her little dogs and her family meant everything to her.
Helen was pre-deceased by her parents; her husband, Lincoln Milton; her grandchild, David McGuire; her siblings, Alice Merkel, John “Jack” Conrad, Jeannette McKee, Anthony Conrad Jr. and David Conrad. She is survived by her children, Theresa (Mike) Dean of Wayland, Jane (Jim) Peabody of Lima, Bernard Milton of Wayland, Deborah (Ernest) Quick of Elmira Heights, Linda Milton of Bath and Lincoln Milton Jr. of Wayland; her grandson, Kevin Dean; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Anita Pragle, Rosie Maher, Dottie Sick, Ann Wheaton, James Conrad and Mary (Jim) Williams; along with many nieces and nephews.
Helen’s family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday June 3, 2026, at 9am at St. Joseph’s Church, 206 Fremont St., Wayland. Committal prayers and interment will take place immediately following at Sacred Heart Church in Perkinsville.
