Obituary of Larry G. Richardson

Dansville – Larry G. Richardson, 87 years of age, passed away early Friday morning, October 13, 2023 at the Vincent House in Wayland. Larry was born May 7, 1936 in Mt. Morris the son of Alonzo and Dorothy (Perkins) Richards. He grew up in Mt. Morris and also resided in Rochester, Conesus Lake, Lakeville and Wayland before settling in Dansville for many many years. Larry’s employment career was mostly spent in the automotive body repair industry. He was a master auto body man and early in his life he worked for Glen Abbey Cadillac in Rochester. He then owned and operated Larry’s Collision for over 50 years in Dansville. Larry’s hobbies included hunting, fishing and carpentry. He loved dogs especially “Bobo!” Larry was also a member of the Dansville Moose Lodge 1130. Larry and Mary Schirmer were married May 15, 1999 in Las Vegas and have celebrated over 24 years together. Larry was pre-deceased by his parents, Alonzo and Dorothy; his step children, Rick Hoffman, Sharlene Buckley and Peter Hoffman; step grandchildren, Aaron Hoffman and Brett Gascon; his siblings, Ken Richardson, Lynn Richardson, George Richardson, Barbara Smith and Neva Perkins; his brother in law and sister in law, Robert and Sharon Shaver and his sister in law, Susie Goho. Larry is survived by his wife Mary of Dansville; his son Keith Richardson of FL; his step daughter Sharon Tuttle of Dansville; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; his sister, Rose Marie (Greg) Roland of FL, Louise Barnhart of Rochester and Janice (Charles) Yorndran of Rochester; his brother in law Corky Goho of Dansville; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, “Bobo.” Larry’s funeral service will be Monday October 23, at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Wayland Village Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Larry G. Richardson may be made to the Vincent House, 310 Second Ave., Wayland, NY 14572.
