Obituary of Theodore A. Rook

N. Cohocton / Bath – Theodore A. Rook, 79 years of age passed away at his home in Bath on Tuesday February 20, 2024. Ted was born December 6, 1944 in Fort Benning, GA the son of Thomas A. and Ida May (Harris) Rook. He grew up in the Atlanta / N. Cohocton areas and resided there for many years. In the early 2000’s Ted moved to Avoca and in 2014 he moved to Bath where he has resided since. Ted was a self-employed carpenter, a television repairman and he worked at PINCO Insulators in Lima. Ted’s hobbies were many. He loved to fish, hunt, listen to country music and play cards – especially poker and Rummy. Another joy he had throughout the years was gardening. Ted was pre-deceased by his parents, Thomas and Ida May Rook; his brothers Carl and Albert Rook and his sister, Rosie Rook. He is survived by his step-son, Benjamin (Danielle) Allan-Learn of Wayland; his children, Theodore Rook Jr., Paula Rook, Virginia “Jenny” Alvord, Pamela Reppert, Cheryl Rook, Karen Rook, Brian Rook and Roseanna Argay; step son, Steve Buchanon; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Ted’s graveside funeral service will be Friday February 23, 2024 at 11am, Clearview Cemetery in North Cohocton.
