Obituary of Jeffrey L. Wooley

Mt. Morris – Jeffrey L. Wooley, 52 years of age, passed away Friday evening May 26, 2017 at his home in Mt. Morris, NY .

Jeff was born August 20, 1964 in Decatur, IL the son of John and Sandra (Haney) Wooley.  He grew up in Decatur and at the age of 18 Jeff moved to the Rochester area for several years.  He then resided in many different areas of Livingston County finally settling in Mt. Morris for the past several years.  Jeff was a warehouse supervisor for the American Red Cross in Rochester, working there for the past 17 years.

His hobbies were many as Jeff enjoyed fishing; hunting, camping, spending time outdoors and he enjoyed painting small figurines.  The Buffalo Bills were his favorite football team and ZZ Top was one of his favorite bands.  He was very proud of his Sunday morning home group in Mt. Morris and although Jeff did not have a specific religion, he was very spiritual as a result of his fellowship as a friend of Bill W. Jeff said what he thought whether you liked it or not and he was not one to “coddle snowflakes!”   He dearly loved his family; especially his grandchildren and all of his friends and will be missed by all.

Jeff was pre-deceased by his father, John Wooley. He is survived by his wife Cindy of Mt. Morris; his children, Joe (Cassie), Chris, Donnie (Ashley), Mike and Craig; his grandchildren, Joey III, Aiden, and newborn, Lilly; his mother, Sandra Hurt of FL; his brother Walter Wooley and his sister Cheryl France; his aunt and uncle, Pat and David Rodman; his nephews, John, Paul and Jimmy; along with other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jeff’s family and friends may call Saturday June 3, 2017 from 1-4pm at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland.  There will be a celebration barbeque following at Dave  B.’s.  Contributions in memory of Jeffrey L. Wooley may be made to a charity of your choice.
