Obituary of Nancy J. Vargas
Wayland – Rochester – Nancy J. Vargas, 69 years of age, passed away Tuesday August 8, 2017 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
Nancy was born in Governeur, NY the daughter of Donald and Viola (Allen) O’Shea. She grew up in Russell, NY and moved back to Rochester in the late 1980’s. Nancy and Adrian Vargas were married and together celebrated over 29 years of marriage prior to Adrian passing away in 1990. Nancy and Fredrick Dugan began a loving companionship and had been together over 20 years prior to Fred passing away a couple days prior, August 6, 2017. They lived in the Wayland area there entire time together. Nancy enjoyed crocheting, watching television (especially COPS) and she loved spending time with her family at different gatherings. She also loved to cook Spanish Rice!!
Nancy was pre-deceased by her husband Adrian Vargas; her companion, Fredrick Dugan; two grandsons, Derek and Scott Michael Vargas. She is survived by her children, Adrian (Diane) Vargas of Rochester, Victoria Vargas of Wayland and Arcadio (Dawn) Vargas of Rochester; her grandchildren, Nancy (Ryan), Viola, Victoria (Pat), Jeffery, Megan, Danny, Zackery, Joey and Samantha; 8 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Butch O’Shea of Byron and Richard O’Shea of Wayland; along with nieces and nephews. Nancy’s funeral service will be Saturday Aug. 19 at 11am at St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland. Contributions in memory of Nancy J.
