Valerie Reamer

Obituary of Valerie K. Reamer

Springwater – Valerie K. “Val” Reamer 68 years of age, passed away early Friday morning at her home.  Val was born the daughter of Charles and Constance (Lamphier) Waggoner, September 16, 1948 in Wayland and has remained a resident of the Springwater / Wayland area her entire life.

Val and Ward Reamer were married May 21, 1965 in Springwater and together have celebrated over 52 years of marriage.  Val enjoyed different jobs throughout the years that included A.B. Cowles, local potato farms, baby sitting and janitorial services at Wayland-Cohocton Central School.  Her hobbies were many as Val enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers; baking and spending time “socializing,” and she also loved dogs and cats. Most of all though, Val loved spending time with her family.  Her silly and stubborn personality will be dearly missed by all that love her.

Val was pre-deceased by her parents, Charles and Constance Waggoner; two infant children, Laurie Ann and Michael Lee; her brother Danny Waggoner and a sister, Edith Werner.  She is survived by her loving husband, Ward Reamer of Springwater; her children, Susan Reamer of Rochester, Brenda (John) Romero of Rochester and Rob (Kristina) Reamer of Wayland; her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kaydence and Braydon “Bubba”; her sisters, Jean (Richard) Kohler of GA and Sharon Waggoner of New York City; along with several nieces and nephews.

Val’s family and friends are invited to her funeral service on Tuesday September 12, 2017 at 11am at the funeral home.  Committal prayers and interment will take place immediately following at Covered Bridge / Evergreen Cemetery in Springwater.  Contributions in memory of Val Reamer may be made to the Perkinsville Fire Department, PO Box 152, Perkinsville, NY 14529 or to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Victor, NY 14450.
