Jerilynn Miller

Obituary of Jerilynn Marie Miller

Victor:  Suddenly on September 30, 2017 at age 71.  Predeceased by her son, Michael Angelo Miller.  She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Darryl; daughter, Jean (Nate) Richardson; son, John Miller; granddaughters, Abigail Grace and Beth Anne Miller and Caitlin Erin Trombley; grandson, Daniel Patrick Trombley; sister, Deborah Forsythe; brother, Robert (Sandy) Kramer; former daughter-in-law, Heather Miller; several nieces and nephews; many cousins; lifelong “buddies;” her dear friends at her winter home in Vero Beach, Florida; and her beloved Cavalier, Alfie.

Jerilynn was born in Wayland, NY on April 19, 1946 to Leslie and Charlotte Kramer.  She graduated from Erie County Technical Institute’s Dental Hygiene School in 1966 and then went on to work as a dental hygienist for nearly forty years.  On August 10, 1968 she married her lifelong friend, Darryl, and together they raised three wonderful children who blessed them with four, equally wonderful grandchildren.  She lived for her grandchildren and looked forward to sharing in their lives as they made their way in the world.  Jerilynn enjoyed traveling the world and had a huge bucket list, which now remains unfilled.  She was always knitting and crocheting, making hats, mittens and scarves for the less fortunate.  She was a consummate shopper, buying nothing without a coupon and she loved, just loved, shoes.  Her winter home in Florida was her outlet for planning and putting on parties, cooking and immersing herself in a community filled with dear friends.

Jerilynn had a warm and caring personality, always the bright spot in the room.  Her German heritage gave her a fierce streak of stubbornness and strong opinions, that she shared with some timidity, except to her chief confidant, her sister, Deborah. Above all else, she loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister whose unconditional love and support will be deeply missed.

Jerilynn’s family and friends may call Thursday from 4-8pm at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland.  A family prayer service will be offered Friday at 10:30am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11am at St. Joseph’s Church, Wayland.  Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery at the convenience of her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trillium Health, Attn: Development Department, 259 Monroe Ave., Rochester, NY 14607 (or online at trilliumhealth.org) in her memory and the memory of her son, Michael.
