Obituary of Roy L. Braziel

Wayland – Arkport – Roy L. Braziel Sr., “Big Roy” passed away Thursday April 19, 2018 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. 

Roy was born in Welch, OK, August 11, 1947, the son of James and Doretta (Hagadone) Braziel.  Big Roy’s hobbies were many as he enjoyed antiques, motorcycles, cars, gardening and fast horses! 

Big Roy was pre-deceased by his parents; his wife Linda Braziel; 3 brothers, Gene Braziel, Charles Crooks and Darrel Crooks.  He is survived by his companion, Ruby Canfield; his children, Roy Braziel Jr., (Jode), James Braziel (Michel Rawleigh), Rachel Braziel (Pete Callahan), Troy Braziel (Sarah), Adam Canfield (Tracy Frost), Thelma Canfield, Joseph Canfield, Joe O’Callaghan (Pam) and Dan O’Callaghan (Mary) ; 26 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, Ernest Crooks; along with several nieces and nephews.

Big Roy’s family and friends are invited to call Friday from 4-7pm at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland.  Funeral services and interment will take place at a later date.
