Obituary of Joshua J. George

Dansville / Wayland - Joshua J. George, 35 years of age, passed away Wednesday evening April 25, 2018.  Josh was born July 3, 1982 in Dansville the son of Linda Barnhart and Robert George.

Josh grew up in Wayland and attended Wayland-Cohocton Central School.  Almost 18 years ago he moved to Dansville where he has resided ever since.  Most recently his employment was at the Gunlocke Company in Wayland as he was considered a hard worker that always got the job done.  Josh’s hobbies were many as he enjoyed playing football and baseball in school and he liked hunting.  His favorite professional teams were the New York Yankees and the Tennessee Titans.   Josh’s passion though was his son Brennin.  They loved spending time together and especially playing video games. 

Josh was pre-deceased by his father, Robert George; his step-father, Jeff George; his grandfather, Warren George.  He is survived by his son Brennin George; his mother Linda George (Bill Towner) of Dansville; his sister Heather George Mirijello of E. Avon; his grandmother, Donna Barnhart of Wayland; his grandfather, Larry Barnhart of Cohocton; his grandmother, Melva George; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Joshua's family and friends may call Sunday April 29, 2018 from 1-4pm at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland.  Joshua's funeral services and interment will be later and at the convenience of his family.  Contributions in memory of Joshua J.
