Peter was born April 23, 1954 in Rochester, the son of Robert J. and Harriet (Callahan) Cook.  He grew up in Rush and attended Sperry High School Class of ‘72 in Henrietta.  Subsequent to high school, Peter proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from February 28, 1973 through February 14, 1979 until his honorable discharge.

Peter dedicated 26 years working with Charlotte Furniture and Appliance.  He was remarkable with furniture and the people he worked with.  He spent time fishing, dedicating the best catch lures to his son, Nicholas, who shared in his passion.  His ultimate calling was playing the guitar.  With his music, Peter would bring together an immense gathering of individuals from all around.  He was an amazing guitar player with a welcoming smile and great sense of humor.  Pete played in many local bands throughout the years including the Stringbenders and Mr. Magoo.  He will be missed by so many hearts that he touched.
