Obituary of William C. Kimmel

Cohocton – Wayland – William C. Kimmel, 73 years of age, passed away early Saturday evening October 20, 2018 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. 

 

William was born August 11, 1945 in Wayland the son of Martin J. Sr. and Marian (Yohonn) Kimmel.  He grew up and resided in Wayland until approximately 22 years ago when he moved to Cohocton where he has resided since.  William’s hobbies were many as he loved watching television, especially Judge Judy, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Lawrence Welk.  He enjoyed scribbling on paper with pencils and pens and took great pleasure in music and dancing in his younger years.  William was also a communicant of Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Joseph’s Church in Wayland. 

 

William was pre-deceased by his parents Martin J. Sr. and Marian Kimmel.  He is survived by his brother, Martin J. Jr. (Carol) Kimmel of Wayland; his nieces and nephews, Julie (Kevin) Shaffer of Monroe; OH, Martin J. V “Chip” (Suzy) Kimmel of Wayland; Michael Kimmel of Wayland; Jackie (Michael) Kelly of Wayland; and Jennifer (Mark) Settembrini of S. Lyon, MI; 16 grandnieces and grandnephews; along with his extended family members of the Cohocton Intermediate Care Facility. 

 

William’s family offers sincere gratitude towards the staff at the Cohocton Intermediate Care Facility over the last 22 years.  Their care and concern will forever be appreciated. 

 

William’s funeral service will be private and at the convenience of his family followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wayland.   Contributions in memory of William C. Kimmel may be made to the Vincent House, 310 Second Ave., Wayland, NY 14572
