Obituary of Joanne C. Clark

JoAnne C. Clark, age 73 of Wayland, NY passed away peacefully on May 9, @ Elderwood in Hornell, NY after a brief illness.

JoAnne was born in Canandaigua, NY and resided in Wayland for the past 20 years. Prior to that she lived in Atlanta, NY and the state of Vermont.  Earlier in life JoAnne worked at the VA Hospital in Bath, NY as a C.N.A.

She loved playing bingo, going bowling, a good yard sale and clowns. You could always find her on her computer playing games or on Facebook.  She was always joking and loved a good laugh. 

She was predeceased by her adopted mother Maxine Long, of Scottsburg.  She is survived by her husband Donald Clark of Atlanta, her adopted father Dean Long of Dansville, her four sons Gerald Werndle (Laura) of Arkport, Scott Werndle (Nicole) of Hornell, Shawn Werndle (Sharon) of Hilton, and Bryon Clark (Heidi) of Wayland; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren; her good friends Lisa Steinmetz, Helen and Lenny Butler and Nancy Sandborn.  She will be sadly missed by all her friends and family.

There will be no calling hours at this time.  A service will be held for the family at a later date and announced by the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home. Contributions in memory of JoAnne C. Clark can be made to  a charity of the donors choice.
