Obituary of Elise A. Shetler
Wayland – Elise A. “Lisa” Shetler, 68 years of age, passed away Tuesday evening, November 2, 2021 at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
Lisa was born January 12, 1953 in Wayland the daughter of Gordon “Red” and Sylvia (Armstrong) Leibenguth. She grew up in Wayland, graduated from Wayland Central School and has remained a resident of Wayland ever since. Her employment career spanned a few different companies including; Brooks Drug Store, Revco, CVS and most recently several years at the Wayland Food Mart.
Lisa was an avid reader, especially James Patterson novels; enjoyed watching ghost shows; cross stitching and crossword puzzles were also a favorite as well as playing games on her tablet! Mostly though, Lisa loved to spend time with her family especially her grand-daughter, Sierra.
Lisa was pre-deceased by her parents Gordon and Sylvia Leibenguth and her step mother, Eva Leibenguth. She is survived by her children, Lydia (Jon) Hahn of Fairport, Jimmy (Jessica) Shetler of Wayland and Mat (Kiley) Shetler of Conshohocken, PA; her grandchildren, Ashley (Andre) Powell, Amber Shetler and Sierra Shetler; 6 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Norb (Barb) Leibenguth of Rochester,Arlene “ Sue” Branch of Rochester and Tom (Sharon) Leibenguth of Florida; along with several nieces and nephews.
