Obituary of Christine M. Hayes

Wayland – Christine M. Hayes, 56 years of age, passed away Friday evening at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. Christine was born February 22, 1965 in Dansville the daughter of William and Shirley (Didas) Hayes. She was a graduate of Wayland Central School and has remained a resident of the area her entire life. Christine loved to talk on the phone, go to yard sales, shop and would always wave when you drive by if she saw you! Christine was pre-deceased by her father, William Hayes in 2007; her aunt Sandy Didas; her uncles,Joe and Bob Didas: and her longtime companion Ed Berglund. She is survived by her mother Shirley Hayes of Cohocton; her siblings, Carol (Art) Nowak of Wayland, Terry (Bonnie) Hayes of Wayland, Tom Hayes of Wayland and Tim Hayes (Jennifer Shea) of Wayland; her nephews, Michael Nowak, James (Amanda) Nowak, Marc Nowak, Matthew Hayes; her niece, Danielle Hayes; her great-nieces, Alexia and Alice; her aunts and uncles, Leo Didas of Naples, Ronald (Dawn) Didas of Dansville, Dawn (Doug) Sterner of Dansville and Rorry (Richard) Levee of Wayland; along with many cousins. Christine’s family and friends may call Wednesday December 1, 2021 from 4-7pm at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland. Christine’s funeral service will take place Thursday December 2, 2021 at 11am at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Christine M.
