Obituary of David J. Pettinger

Virginia Beach / Livonia – David J. Pettinger of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away November 20th, 2021 at age 55. He was predeceased by a brother Richard. David is survived by his mother, Mallie, father Richard, brothers, William (Michelle), James (Jamie) and John; his life-long friends Dana Nowack, Chris (Pam) Bartlett; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Dave grew up in Livonia, New York and then left for the sandy beaches of Virginia, returning often to visit family and friends. He loved music, the beach and spending time in Chesapeake with friends Paul and Mary. Dave was a highly skilled electrician who enjoyed his work and friendship of many co-workers. He never hesitated to offer a helping hand and words of wisdom with a bit of humor. A private service will be held for Dave followed by interment at the convenience of his family. A public celebration of life / memorial service will be announced at a later date.
