Obituary of Yvonne L. Didas

Wayland – Yvonne L. Didas, 81 years of age, passed away Friday afternoon, May 20, 2022 at Hornell Gardens. Yvonne was born December 4, 1940, the daughter of Edward and Ruth (Kelley) Didas. She grew up in Wayland and resided a majority of her life there. Yvonne also lived in Warsaw and Hornell for several years. Yvonne was a 1959 graduate of Wayland Central School and began a lengthy career at Kodak in Rochester. Subsequent to Kodak, Yvonne worked at the Mt. Morris ARC. Yvonne enjoyed writing letters and talking on the phone to stay in touch with family and friends. She also enjoyed arts, crafts and coloring. Dressing up and getting her hair done was always a treat for Yvonne as well! Yvonne was pre-deceased by her sisters, Phyllis Smith, Lorraine Meyer and Patrician Mark. She is survived by her children, Norman Jones of Wayland, William Jones of Wayland and Randall Jones of Hornell; along with several nieces and nephews. Yvonne’s family and friends may call Monday May 30th, 2022 from 1-2pm at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland. Yvonne’s funeral service will take place at the conclusion of calling hours at 2pm at the funeral home. Committal prayers and interment will take place immediately following at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
