Wayland - Irving Williams, 68 years old, passed away June 3, 2022 at Noyes Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Irving was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 11, 1954. He was admitted to Willowbrook State School in 1958 and resided there until being moved to the Craig Developmental Center. He moved to the Southview IRA in Wayland in the late 1980’s and spent his final years with friends at the LaRue IRA, also in Wayland.
Irving was well known for his mischievous smile, spontaneous laughter, love of coffee and angel food cake and playing his tambourines. Irving loved music, boating and biking. He enjoyed waving to the neighbors while riding his tricycle through the neighborhood with staff and participating in the St Jude Bike a Thon. He also enjoyed going to work at the Dogwood Day Habilitation site in Dansville and spending time with his special friend, Tammy.
Irving is survived by many friends and caregivers at LaRue and Dogwood. He will be dearly missed.

Irving’s friends and caregivers may call Friday June 10, 2022 from 12-1:30pm at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland. His funeral service will take place Friday at 1:30am at the funeral home, followed by committal prayers and interment at Wayland Village Cemetery at 2pm.
