Obituary of Francis J. Brewer

Springwater – Francis J. Brewer, 81 years of age, passed away Thursday morning, July 28, 2022 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. Fran was born August 17, 1940 in Woodhull the son of Maynard and Gladys (Dennis) Brewer. He grew up in Woodhull and resided in Honeoye Falls and Prattsburgh before settling in Springwater in 1969. Fran was a heavy equipment operator for the local union out of Rochester and worked for many years on big projects throughout the area. Fran was a New York Yankees fan and he loved to fish. He took care of his mother during her later years while spending 6 months in Zephyr Hills, FL and 6 months in Springwater. While in Florida he took advantageous of the opportunity to fish off charter boats and other areas. Fran enjoyed helping people and was very generous during his lifetime. Fran was pre-deceased by his parents; Maynard and Gladys Brewer; his former wife, Betty Brewer; and his brother Darwin Brewer. He is survived by his sons, Patrick Ray of Springwater, Dennis Brewer of Norwich, NY, Timothy Brewer of Springwater and Joseph (Molly) Brewer of Wayland; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister Gloria (Larry) VanFleet of Woodhull; along with nieces and nephews. Fran’s interment and graveside service will be at the convenience of his family.
