Obituary of Jane M. Mark

Perkinsville – Jane Marie Mark, 68 years of age, passed away Sunday morning September 13th, 2015 at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. Jane was born October 30, 1946 in Wayland the daughter of Richard and Catherine (Engel) Rauber. She has been a resident of the Wayland and Perkinsville areas her entire life. Jane was a graduate of Sacred Heart School in Perkinsville, an alumnus of Wayland Central School, recently celebrating her 50 year reunion, and she also graduated from the Continental School of Beauty. Jane and Timothy Mark were married April 22nd, 1967 at St. Joseph’s Church in Wayland and together celebrated over 40 years of marriage prior to Tim passing away in January of 2008. Jane’s employment career spanned a couple different areas. She was a hairdresser for several years and was employed at Sugar Creek for a few years. However most all in the area knew Jane for her wonderful catering and her vegetable and fruit stand; Jane’s Veggies-n-More. Although catering was her business she was always volunteering her time and talent. She would always have food ready for whoever stopped at the house. Couponing was also a favorite of Jane’s. No matter what she bought she probably had a coupon for it, (even a 50% off coupon for a clearance item that was already 50% off)! She enjoyed travelling to Penn Yan for the vegetable and flower auctions. Her civic duty was a passion also as she was a member of the Wayland Rotary Club, Wayland American Legion Auxiliary, Perkinsville Fire Auxiliary, and the Perkinsville Rod-n-Gun Club. Jane was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Jane was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was a very hard worker who took a lot of pride in what she did. Her compassion, generosity and love for others will be missed by all her family and friends in the surrounding communities. Jane was pre-deceased by her father Richard Rauber; her husband, Timothy Mark; her brother, Richard Rauber Jr.; her father-in-law, John Mark. She is survived by her children, Rene Lewis (Terry) of Dansville, Kevin Mark (Kelly Harrison) of Perkinsville, Matthew Mark (Amie Hopkins) of Perkinsville and Jeffrey Mark (Michelle Keppen) of Perkinsville; her mother Catherine Rauber (Robert Kuhn) of Wayland, mother-in-law Norma Mark, Loon Lake; grandchildren, Stephanie and Kyle Lewis, Greggory (Brandie) Mark and Connor Mark; her sisters, Kathy (Dave) Snyder of Wayland, Mary (Dave) Polmanteer of Wayland, Sandy (Mark) Sanford of Wayland, Sue (Steve) Holmes of Springwater, and Betsy (Jim) Cotter of Wayland; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
