Obituary of Sharon Stewart Wirth

Hornell – Sharon Stewart Wirth, 66 years of age, passed away early Thursday afternoon, September 22, 2022 at the Vincent House in Wayland. Sharon was born March 13, 1956 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Willis “Bud” Stewart and Blanche Stewart. Sharon grew up and resided in the Pittsburgh area most of her life. She was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Sharon moved to Canandaigua in 2013 and three years later moved to Hornell where she has resided since. Sharon and Dan Wirth married in the late 1990’s and celebrated over 10 years of marriage prior to Dan passing away in 2010. Sharon was employed at Alstom in Hornell for a number of years prior to retiring. Sharon was a volunteer at the Hornell Public Library and Faith in Action. A lifelong avid reader, Sharon also enjoyed boating and horseback riding in her youth. Sharon was tremendously grateful for all of the wonderful people she met living in Hornell. Sharon was pre-deceased by her parents; and her husband, Dan Wirth. She is survived by her sons, Charles John Fogle and his wife Tsiltiyah Baht Yisrael Fogle of Milwaukee, WI and Douglas Fogle of Philadelphia, PA; and her granddaughters Bracha and Elisheva. At this time there are no scheduled services for Sharon.
