Obituary of Lillian Mary Holubek

Wayland – Lillian Mary Holubek, 98 years of age, passed away late Friday evening at the Vincent House in Wayland. Lillian was born August 29, 1924 in New York City, NY the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Homola) Sarisky. She grew up in New York City and remained a resident there until she moved to Wayland in 2017 for a few months. Lillian then moved to Pinehurst Episcopal Senior Living in Honeoye Falls. Lillian was a school aide for over 30 years at Public School #127 and #145 in Queens, NY. Lillian and Paul James Holubek were married November 15, 1952 and celebrated over 14 years of marriage prior to Paul passing away February 16, 1967. Lillian was very active at the schools she worked at and participated in many of the events. She was a homemaker for her husband and children and loved being around her grandchildren. Travelling to the casino was a favorite for her as well. Lillian lived day to day, never turned away a person in need and helped all she could. She was loved and will be dearly missed by her family. Lillian was pre-deceased by her parents, Joseph and Anna Sarisky; and her husband Paul James Holubek. She is survived by her children, Maryann (Eric) Notholt of Mahopac, NY, Paul (Elizabeth) Holubek of Wayland and Edna (Abed) Mustafa of Douglaston, NY; her grandchildren, Kristyn Notholt, Katelyn (Dan) Greer, John-Paul Holubek, Brianna (Aaron) Stickney, Adam Mustafa; and her great-granddaughter, Ella. Lillian’s family will meet at Long Island National Cemetery Tuesday November 22, 2022 at 12pm for her committal service and burial next to her husband. Memorial contributions in memory of Lillian M.
