Obituary of Teresa A. Lock

Wayland – Fountain Inn, SC – Teresa A. Lock, 74 years of age, passed away Wednesday morning December 14, 2022 at her home in Fountain Inn, SC. Teresa was born August 18, 1948 in Wayland the daughter of Norbert and Anna Rose (Kramer) Kuch. She grew up in Wayland and graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic School and was a 1966 graduate of Wayland Central School. She then attended RIT for interior design and St. John Fisher. She worked in a few different areas throughout her life, including the Gunlocke Company, Real Estate and many years at the 3M Company in Rochester and subsequently South Carolina when the Rochester facility closed. Teresa and Clayton McLaughlin have been together for over 40 years residing in both Wayland and South Carolina. Teresa loved arts and crafts. Making wreaths and flower arrangements for Christmas, Memorial Day and other holidays were her speciality. She enjoyed setting up and selling them at local flea markets and craft shows. She loved cooking and baking – especially chocolate chip cookies. She loved her cats as well. Where ever Teresa was there was a cat or two following and being taken care of by her. Teresa was pre-deceased by her parents, Norbert and Anna Rose Kuch. She is survived by her longtime companion Clayton McLaughlin of SC; her son, Richard (Bobbi) Lock of Wayland; her grandchildren, Logan and Leah Lock of Wayland; her brother Tom (Roxanne) Kuch of South Lima; and many extended members of both her and Clayton’s family. Teresa’s family and friends may call Saturday May 27. 2023 from 9-11am at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109+ West Naples St., Wayland. Her funeral service will be immediately following at 11am at the funeral Home. A memorial luncheon will take place Saturday May 27, 2023 from 1-5pm at the Wayland American Legion, Main St., Wayland. Interment will be private at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
