Obituary of Helen `M. Butler
Wayland – Helen M. Butler, 78 years of age, passed away Friday December 30, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Helen was born in Rochester, April 11, 1944 the daughter of Henry and Vivian (Wunsch) Dodson. She grew up in and resided in Rochester most of her life. On October 20, 1992, Helen and Leonard Butler were married and have celebrated over 30 years together. Helen and Leonard have lived in Wayland since 1992. While in Rochester, Helen worked in the dairy department at Topps Grocery. Helen loved working with flowers and designed many beautiful arrangements. She took care of her garden flowers and would transplant them both indoors and outdoors. Helen also had an affinity for cats. She loved them and was very dedicated to taking care of them.
Helen was pre-deceased by her parents, Henry and Vivian Dodson; and her son Louis Warney. She is survived by her husband of over 30 years Leonard Butler of Wayland; her stepchildren, Leonard Butler Jr. of Rochester, Tina (Scott) Martin of Rochester, Timothy Butler of FL, Phillip Butler of Rochester and Joanne (Ted) Schoonmaker of Rochester; her grandchildren, Bruce and Precious; along with several siblings, nieces and nephews.
Helen’s funeral service will be announced later in the year.
