Obituary of Norbert F. Huber

Perkinsville – Norbert F. Huber, 75 years of age, passed away early Saturday morning at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. Norb was born July 8th, 1939 in Perkinsville the son of Herman and Cecilia (Rauber) Huber. He grew up in Perkinsville and has remained a life resident of that area. Norb and Barbara Wheaton were married June 18th, 1960 and have celebrated 54 years of marriage. Norb’s employment career was mostly as a welder at the Foster Wheeler Energy Corporation in Dansville. He retired in 2000 after 35 years of employment there. Norb’s hobbies were many as he enjoyed hunting and fishing years ago; and most of his life he enjoyed tinkering and puttering in his garage and most anything he built would work. Working in the garden with Barb was an enjoyable hobby also. Another avid interest was the steam pageant in Canandaigua. They travelled to the show for many years. Norb’s participation in different organizations was important to him as well as he was an active Perkinsville Fire Department member for over 57 years and past president of the fire company. He was a member of the Perkinsville Rod-n-Gun Club, the Moose Club in Dansville and the Wayland Sons of American Legion. Norb was also a life-long communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Perkinsville. Norb was pre-deceased by his parents, Herman and Cecilia Huber; an infant son Timothy Huber; and his brother, Thomas Huber. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Huber of Perkinsville; his sons, Norbert (Marcia) Huber of Perkinsville, Peter Huber of Springwater and Joe Huber of Springwater; his grandchildren, Dawn, Josh, Nicole and Emily; his brother Richard (Suzanne) Huber of Wayland; his sister-in-law Virginia Huber of Wayland; several nieces and nephew; along with his dog Rusty whom they rescued over 14 years ago. Norbert’s family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church in Perkinsville. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery will be at the convenience of his family. Memorial contributions in Norbert F.
