Obituary of Harold L. Dale

Wayland – Harold L. Dale, 74 years of age, passed away Monday June 26, 2023 at his home in Wayland. Harold was born July 10, 1948 in Dansville the son of Ivan and Gladys (Cork) Dale. He grew up in the Dansville area and attended high school there. After high school he served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy, being honorably discharged October 11, 1971. He came back to Dansville for a number of years and then moved to the Wayland area 15 years ago. Harold was a welder at Foster Wheeler for many years and after that he worked at Faulder’s in Rochester. Harold had a number of hobbies that included target shooting, flying model airplanes, hunting, tinkering around his workshop, making jewelry, watching old tv shows and movies about cowboys – “he was a cowboy at heart!” He loved to play guitar and sing Karaoke with a good friend of his as well as visiting with his siblings. Harold was pre-deceased by his parents, Ivan and Gladys Dale. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Dale; his children, Chuck, Pamela, Lori and Bill; several grandchildren; his siblings, Frances Magee of Perkinsville, Kathy Slack of Dansville and his brother and best friend, Dave Dale of Arkport; along with several nieces and nephews. Harold was laid to rest recently at Bath National Cemetery with military honors.
