They just celebrated 61 years of marriage! Jake had a varied and adventurous work life. He was a farmer (Perkinsville, NY), an oil field worker (CO and WY), a ranch hand (Grizzly Ranch, CO), a mechanic (Wayland, NY) and finished his career working for the Town of Cohocton Highway Department (22 years). Jake was a hardworking, devoted husband, father and friend. He was always there for those in need. He was a lifetime member of the Catholic church and member of the Atlanta American Legion. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting and rebuilding his 1948 Chevy Thrift Master Truck. Jacob is pre-deceased by his parents, Rudolph and Leona Weiand.
