Obituary of Aliene M. Swick

Wayland – Aliene M. Swick, 87 years of age, passed away early Monday evening, September 25, 2023 at Maple City Healthcare Facility in Hornell. Aliene was born November 21, 1935 in Wayland the daughter of Raymond and Onnolee (Wager) Swick. She was a graduate of Wayland Central School and remained a life resident of Wayland until her recent move to Hornell. Aliene worked for many years at The Gunlocke Company in Wayland retiring many years ago. Her hobbies were many. She loved the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees; enjoyed reading; shopping; the outdoors; and she especially enjoyed a trip to Hawaii. Aliene was active at St. Joseph’s Church and was a member of the cemetery committee for many years. Aliene was pre-deceased by her parents, Raymond and Onnolee Swick; her infant brother, James; her sister, Carol Swick; and her sister in law, Carmella Swick. She is survived by her brother John Swick; her niece and nephews, Carol, John Patrick and Joseph. Aliene’s family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Wednesday October 11, 2023 at 10am at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wayland.
