Obituary of Donny L. Wright

Wayland – Donny L. Wright, 68 years of age, passed away Friday October 30th, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Donny was born September 11th, 1947 in Addison the son of Elmer and Annie Wright. He grew up in Addison and also resided in Springwater for a few years. In 1985 Donny moved to Wayland where he has resided ever since. Donny was a quarry worker at General Crushed Stone which later became Hanson in Honeoye Falls. Donny and Donna Dunn were married October 14th, 1967 in Addison. Together they celebrated over 39 years of marriage prior to Donna passing away in October of 2007. Donny enjoyed doing anything that had to do with mechanics and he loved mudding with trucks. Spending time with his grandchildren was also a favorite of Donny’s. Donny was pre-deceased by his parents; his wife, Donna Wright; his siblings, Bobby, Junior, Steve, John, Charlene and Duane. He is survived by his children, April Wright (David Williams) of Wayland, Darrin (Connie) Wright of Wayland, Marcus Wright of Medina, and Harold (Danielle) Wright of Bath; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Clem Wright, Janet Potts, William Wright and Sherre (Ken) Locey; along with several nieces nephews. Donny’s family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday at 11:00am at the Springwater Church of the Nazarene located on the Wayland/Springwater Rd. in Springwater. Donny and his family have been assisted by the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland.
