Obituary of Cathleen A. Pape

Wayland – Cathleen A. Pape, 59 years of age, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 12, 2023 at her home in Wayland. Cathy was born January 28, 1964 in Rochester the daughter of James and Joan (Motyka) VanOrden. She grew up and resided in Rochester until 1995 when she moved to Wayland. Cathy and Clint LaClair, her domestic partner, companion and love of her life resided in Wayland there time together. Cathy’s hobbies were many; loved to play cards, especially Skip Bo; playing Bingo; listening to classic rock; drinking her coffee and spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cathy was pre-deceased by her father, James VanOrden. She is survived by her domestic partner, Clint LaClair of Wayland; her daughters, Diane Pape of Belmont and Jennifer Brass of East Rochester; her mother, Joan VanOrden of Rochester; her grandchildren, Brianna, Justin, William, Stacy and Jamie; her brother, James VanOrden Jr. of Rochester; her sister, Karen (George) Gurgel of Rochester; her sisters and brothers in law, Gerald F. LaClair Jr. of Wayland, Cynthia (Rick) Averill of Wayland, Collette LaClair of Buffalo and Joseph LaClair of Rochester; along with several nieces and nephews. At this time there will be no funeral services for Cathy.
