I worked with Hav at Roth for a number of years. I taught the honors biology program and I couldn’t have done that without his early help. I would seek him out whenever I needed information about a topic we were teaching. He was a great mentor and a good friend.

Mr. Toland was my 10th grade AP Biology teacher. I was not very interested in being in school at that point in my life. Mr. Toland made every effort to get me to be more interested in learning. He was mildly successful in the short term, I actually looked forward to going to his class. It was not until later in life when I returned to school as an adult that his influence was truly realized.
He was a kind man, and his life touched so many people.
