Obituary of Gloria J. Anderson

Wayland – Gloria J. Anderson, 84 years of age, passed away Monday morning January 18th, 2016 at her home in Wayland with her eldest daughter at her side. Gloria was born October 25th, 1931 in Buffalo the daughter of Eleanor Doty. Gloria grew up in the Buffalo area and then resided in Wayland until 1954. She was a 1950 graduate of Wayland Central School. On July 10th, 1954, Gloria and Pete Anderson were married and together they celebrated over 50 years of marriage prior to Pete passing away September 4, 2004. They resided in many different areas throughout their life together including, Orlando, FL, Panama City, Illinois, Tulsa, OK, several years in Ohio and eventually Gloria came back to Wayland in 2011. Gloria was pre-deceased by her husband Pete in 2004; son Jonathan Anderson on April 23, 2013. She is survived by her children; Darlene Anderson, Jeffrey Anderson, Donna Anderson Illig and her husband Steve; two grandsons, Isaac and Noah; sisters, Jeannie Burpee and Wilma Meehan. She will be remembered as a loving hardworking mother and wife.
