Obituary of Darcy A. Carney

Springwater – Darcy A. Carney, 53 years of age, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 1st, 2016 at her home in Springwater. Darcy was born March 11, 1962 in Wayland, the daughter of Gerald and Barbara (Brock) Carney. Darcy grew up in Springwater and has remained a life resident of Springwater. She graduated from Wayland Central School in 1980. Darcy was employed for many years as a process engineer for Kodak in Rochester. Darcy was a very social person that enjoyed being around many people and enjoyed being the life of the party. She collected many things including anything to do with pigs and miscellaneous Disney collectibles. Darcy will always be remembered for her vibrant colored outfits that included different colored socks, neon pink, as much jewelry that could possibly fit on her which included Rhinestones and any other bright colored item for her daily attire. Darcy was pre-deceased by her significant other and companion of over 20 years, Harold “Boup” Reynolds in 2004. To all her survivors, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy! Remember The Good Old Days! Peace and Love You All!” Survivors include, her parents, Gerald and Barbara Carney of Springwater; her sisters, Terry Lee Kuznicki of Springwater and Kelly (Carney) Gary Bauer of Wayland; her nieces, Brittney (Christopher) Rizzieri of Cohocton, Cortney Bauer of Wayland and Kalee Sue (Nick) Warner of Springwater; her great-nieces, Gabriella, Makayla and Alexandra Rizzieri and Lillian Irene Warner; “Al Al” everybody’s pal the turtle and Chevy Carney, her dog; along with many friends that includes the entire Reynolds family that she cared so much about. Darcy’s request was for a simple service to be completed as soon as possible. Her funeral service took place Tuesday March 1st, 2016 at the Village Cemetery in Wayland where she was laid to rest next to her love whom she missed so much,” Boup.” Memorial contributions in Darcy's memory may be made to the Vincent House, 310 Second Ave., Wayland, NY 14572.
