Obituary of Jo-Ann Wolfanger
Springwater – Jo-Ann Wolfanger 67 years of age, passed away Friday morning March 11, 2016 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Jo-Ann was born July 30th, 1948 in Warsaw the daughter of Joseph and Mary Helen (Bailey) Bagienski. She grew up in Perry and graduated from Perry Central School. Jo-Ann and Sheldon Wolfanger were married 46 years ago in Springwater at Shedon’s home. They have resided in Springwater their entire time together. Her employment career was mostly in food service, with her most recent employment at SUNY Geneseo for several years. Jo-Ann’s hobbies were many as she enjoyed crafts; especially crocheting and making candles throughout the years. Of significant importance to her as well were her cats and her rescue dog.
Jo-Ann was pre-deceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary H. Bagienski. She is survived by her husband, Sheldon Wolfanger of Springwater; her sister Judy (Ranna) Hosseini of Maine; and her nephew, Parviez Hosseini of Washington D.C.
Jo-Ann’s family and friends are invited to call Tuesday from 4:00-7:00pm at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland. Her funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00am at the funeral home. Committal prayers and internment will take place immediately following at Mt. Vernon Evergreen Cemetery in Sringwater.
