Obituary of Roger R. Rowley

Springwater – Roger R. Rowley, 62 years of age, passed away late Wednesday evening, March 16th, 2016 at his home in Springwater. Roger was born in Wayland August 19th, 1953 the son of Norris and Carol (Miller) Rowley. He grew up in Springwater and has remained a life-long resident of the Springwater area. Roger and Judy Caughel were married October 11th, 1975 in Elma, NY and together have celebrated over 40 years. They have raised three children whom he loved dearly, Laura, Travis and Trevor and has enjoyed their five grandchildren. Roger’s employment career was mostly spent at Pfaulder Inc. in Rochester. He spent many many years there working a variety of positions including as an executive before moving on. Roger enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout the years, however his favorite activity was travelling to Florida to visit Disney World. He loved Disney and even had a couple tattoos representing Disney characters. Roger has also been a member of the Springwater Church of the Nazarene for several years, dating back to the beginning of the church. Roger was pre-deceased by his father and mother in-law, Herbert and Annette Caughel and his sister-in-law, Linda Wiers. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Judy Rowley of Springwater; his children, Laura (Nathaniel Ferguson) of Springwater, Travis (Lesley) Rowley of Perry and Trevor Rowley of Batavia; his grandchildren, Reagan, Reese, Rowan, Hannah and Abigail; his parents, Norris and Carol Rowley of Springwater; his brother, Norris (Lynne) Rowley of Silver Springs; his sister, Christy (Roger) Mattice of Springwater; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce (Beth) Caughel of Arcade, Dave Wiers of Holland, NY, Cathy (Jerry) Urquhart of Marilla, Kristen (Kevin) Reumann of Holland, NY, Brian Caughel of Elma, Mark (Jennifer) Caughel of Elma; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends that are like family, Jean and Jan Fox of Springwater. Roger’s family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for him Saturday April 2nd, 2016 at 11:00am at the Springwater Church of the Nazarene, Indian Valley Rd., Springwater, NY 14560.
