Steve was a true friend of mine that would have done anything for me and everyone he loved. We were best friends throughout high school and remained close for many years after. Although we drifted throughout the years as life gets in the way, I will always cherish the good times we had and I know he did too. We rode dirt bikes, wrestled, late night cards with Bugsy, Sheila and I sharing many many laughs together. I will miss you my friend! Your nickname "Bonzi" will always remain in my heart. I know we will meet again my friend in a much better place so my goodbye is not forever.

Steve met a lot of challenges in his life and conquered many (any yes, one of them was even making and winning a cake contest in cub scouts). He always wore his winning smile and never complained. His song should of been "I did it my Way". Always enjoyed a conversation with him. RIP dear one. Love, thoughts and prayers to all his family. He will be missed.

I'd be sitting on the corner in my wheelchair and I'd spot Steve on his motorcycle at the stop light...I'd yell out something and he'd wave and say something back...and for that instant time would go away and it would be those sweet times again that all to soon end...the light turns green and the train moves on...Happy Trails...

Im so saddened to hear of Steve's death. My junior High School years have many great memories of him & Jeff Cleveland. We were like the 3 Amigos for a while I was just like one of the guys, riding our bikes all over Dansville, riding along all together on Jeff's paper route. Hanging out together at Football games. Memories that I will always remember & cherish. Prayers to all of Steve's family during this time. God Bless you all & Steve we will meet again.
Love your Arkansas friend

I'm truly saddened to hear of Steve's passing. He was truly my best friend throughout our formative years, and we were inseparable, along with our mutual friend Jeff Cleveland. I could write a book of fun memories of our hijinks together. Laughing with Steve practically defines my childhood. Once we spent an entire week excitedly planning a sleepover at his house because Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman was going to be shown late Friday night on channel 9. Our parents agreed to our plan, and we settled into our sleeping bags in his livingroom to watch it on Friday, filed with excited dread. Not long into the movie, the Wolfman appeared, and we both freaked out and ran upstairs to Steve's room and stayed there for the rest of the night. Two brave kids! I regret not being in touch with Steve as an adult, but truly enjoyed reconnecting with him a few years ago at a reunion. He was still the same guy that I loved hanging out with as a kid. He'll always have a place in my heart.

It was a true honor to have know Steve and been good friends with him for the better half of 15 plus years. He was a great man with kindness running throughout his body. Over the years that I knew Steve we had many great conversations about music, politics the military and many more topics. He was a great listener, a great friend and gave me some great advice over the years. I always had the up most respect for Steve and what he has been through in life and who he was as a person. At times he was like a father figure to me rather than a friend and I always was so great ful to him for that. Steve helped me out many times when no one else would. He will forever hold a spot near and dear to my heart. Always remember the hail storm in Webster's crossing my friend, so many great laughs. Rest easy Steve. Until we meet again my friend you will always be remembered. I've known the whole family for many many years and I consider them family. They are all truly amazing people with the biggest hearts in the world. I'm so proud and glad that I've had the honor of knowing Steve as well as I did. I'm also so blessed to know the entire family as well as I do and I'm honored. Sending all of my love to the family at their time of need. Prayers as well. If any of you need anything don't hesitate to reach out and ask. God bless you all

My heart is so sad to hear that my best childhood friend Steve has passed. We had SO much fun and SO many adventures as kids that whenever I relate any early stories, they always include Steve. We laughed until we cried and shared a very special brotherly love. We practically lived together each and every summer and rode our banana bikes everywhere searching out fun and harmless trouble. Steve’s life was never easy but he always made the best of it and worked hard to reach his goals. Later in life he was harder to catch up with but when we were able to get together, it was as if we had never been apart. Steve was a gentle soul that I will never forget. Rest In Peace Steve....can’t wait to see you again. Your friend always, Jeff Cleveland

Over the course of the last 7 years I have gotten to know Steve pretty well, Steve was a set in his ways kind of guy. Loved food pretty much anything with sauce in it. He was also a very wise man which made me take alot of things in life into consideration, the one thing that sticks out the most is him telling me not to sweat the small things in life; it's too short. Steve will be missed not just by myself but by many others and will always be missed and in my prayers.
