Hi Willie and family. Chad and I send our deepest condolences. Dawn was so loved. She is in Jehovahs memory. She is sleeping. No pain, no suffering. She will be thrilled to be resurrected back into your loving arms. I am eternally grateful for you finding my parents , Harry and Gladys Schouten, in the door to door ministry in 1962. And they were persistent with dad and mom. Mom was opposed at first. She began studying in 1963. Dad had stopped smoking after being chain smoker. They taught her that God has a personal name, Jehovah. She never knew that. Mom and dad were baptized July 1st 1964. You are a true blessing from Jehovah.

I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Dawn. My earliest memory was with her. I was 3 1/2 years old. She was staying with us in Marion while mom went to Brockport for a week to welcome our baby brother. I was trying to ask for a drink of water but she couldn't understand me as I had a language all my own.
When mom went to hospital to welcome baby sister, Marcia, (September) I stayed with Dawn and Willie. My cousins taught me to walk again as I had been in a cast since May. That's when I discovered that Aunt Dawn ended every meal with a slice of bread and peanut butter.
As a teen I babysat my cousins on Wednesday evenings. After I got them to bed I played Aunt Dawn's Johnny Matthis records while I did homework. Aunt Dawn passed some clothes of hers down to me, my favorite was a grey straight skirt. To me it was elegant just like Aunt Dawn and it matched any sweater.
I have reams of wonderful memories and will miss my Aunt.
When they came to visit me in Colorado Aunt Dawn was afraid on the mountain roads with no guard rails. Hiking in the Garden of the God's she taught us to drink a lot of water and eat potato chips to replenish the salt!
To Uncle Willie, I was always so happy that you were so patient and loving with my Aunt. To my cousins I was always so happy for you that you had a wonderful mom.

I am so sorry for the loss of Dawn! I have done Dawn’s hair for a very long time! We always had such wonderful conversations. Some of those conversations were so deep and so meaningful that I will never forget. I will miss her as a customer, but also as a blessed friend that she was to me!!
Sincerely,
Lori O’Neal
